Is Chiropractics Right for You?

The question on most people’s mind when they step into a Mt. Pleasant chiropractors office for the first time is “How safe is chiropractics?   Done properly, chiropractics is a safe and effective way to relieve pain and dramatically increase range of motion.  In a dozen sessions with my chiropractor, I was able to avoid rotor cuff surgery for my shoulder.  A few therapeutic massages where able to get knots out of my back that had troubled me for years.

I went in as a skeptic and came out a believer.

Some Mt. Pleasant residences are disturbed by the “cracking”, particularly of their spine and neck, which frequently accompanies a chiropractic “adjustment.”  For those with these concerns, there are other chiropractic techniques available.  Discuss the options available with your Mt. Pleasant chiropractor.

But, is chiropractics right for you?  A lot will depend on the confidence you have in your chiropractor.  In Mt. Pleasant, and the greater Charleston area, there are many chiropractors to choose from.  Before you lay on the chiropractor’s table for a “manipulation,” do some shopping.  Most if not all Mt. Pleasant chiropractors will offer a free consultation.  With over 30 Mt. Pleasant chiropractic offices to choose from; you should be able to find a chiropractor you will like and trust.

Before you go, check your health insurance.  Most health insurance policies will pay for a specific number of annual chiropractic services in the treatment of all pain, including the dreaded lower back pain.  Workman’s Compensation will often pay for chiropractic treatment for work related injuries with the most common injury being to the back and neck.
